Default Looking for a good PPI in NY

Hello, Rennlisters:

Can anyone recommend a shop in or near Staten Island to do a PPI on a 2007 997.1 GT3?

Please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

Cheers,

Rich

Your best bet is to have it brought to Long Island.

Are you buying from Brooklyn Auto Sales?

You could just try the nearest Porsche Dealership in NJ?

Otherwise probably something in CT or Long Island which may not be the most practical

Hey G80,

I had the PPI done at Ray Catena Porsche in Edison, NJ. Thanks!

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Hope all went well? What did you buy?!

A 2007 Black 997.1 GT3 with 35K miles on it. I can’t wait to drive it whenever it arrives!

Congrats! I bid on that car when it was on BAT if it’s the same one. They beat me out narrowly. I ended up with a 997.2 a few weeks later. Congrats!!

Thanks!! I haven’t driven it yet, lol! You’ll be out in yours before me!. Got it inspected and all was fine, then it arrives on the truck leaking coolant from a front radiator. The coolant pipes and system in general seem to be a weak point but I think your one had awesome maintenance records and had coolant lines pinned so hopefully one less job for you to worry about

The weather has been a bit mixed in CT so I’m not in a rush to get it out have just been working on little jobs in my garage to get it ready for summer

I hope the coolant lines were pinned so thanks for letting me know. I have an appointment scheduled with my mechanic at Aase Motors here in SoCal, and I have a short list of things for him to replace/repair/install.

I’ll send you a DM when the car is done. I can’t wait to see more pics of yours.
