Default oil change and RMS leak

I was wondering if when you take your car in to fix the RMS do they have to do an oil change.

I was wanting to get an oil change but dont want to pay for it if it something that is done to fix an RMS leak.

Thanks

You have a $120,000 car and your worried about who is going to pay for an oil change?
Request it when they do the RMS and I'll bet it will be part of the repair.

Pffffft!

To answer your question, yes. The only thing is they won't change the oil filter. Order one in advance from Suncoast Porsche and hand it to them. Save yourself a couple hundred.

Actually, dealer can change the RMS w/o changing the oil/dropping the engine.

Last time I had it done they changed the oil. Call and ask. Some do and maybe some don't. I know which one I'd take it to

if you pull the motor like almost all dealers will do you can easily do it with out removing engine. again they might help out to be customer friendly just ask

i would caution strongly against buying a filter elsewhere the 3 dollars you save will **** off your dealer and no oil change help for you(something about that vinager and honey saying)

From what I've been told by qualified techs, TT's RMS issue is very rare -- it's a matter of differing (positive vs negative??) crankcase pressure.

Same here. I'd also like them to change my oil and put in the new oil filter I have because it was left over from my C2S that I decided not to change the oil on

Thanks for all the info except from GJ

Im not looking to be cheap only informed as to what they do when fixing this problem. I am not thrilled after spending 120 large that I have an oil leak with 1700 miles on the car. One of the many reasons to buying the GT3 was the GT1 inspired engine and didn;t expect to have same problem as the regular flat 6 engines.

Thanks again for all your help and I will push for them not dropping the engine out.

my dealer said they would re-use the oil. i paid for new oil and filter. it was peanuts compared to the cost of tires i used getting there.
