Default My track day videos from Cal Speedway

Hi Folks, Happy Holidays to all of you.

Thanks to all of you whom gave me their advice on trail and threshold braking. It has meant a dramatic drop in my lap times. (I recommend karting for people learning about car control)

Here is some raw footage from my track runs a couple of weeks ago at Cal Speedway run with speed ventures. I love speed ventures because they have timing gear which helps you keep track of your improvements.

day 1:

Chasing a pro driver on slicks. It was great to follow his lines.

Some drive bys from day 2:
You will see my friends x51 997s in these clips as well.

My friend has the camera in his car. (The x51)

last run of the weekend. I really enjoyed this run, but still was not able to beat my best lap of the day due to some blocking.

Here is a picture a few days afterwards.

I truly love this car. No brake fade, unreal amounts of car feedback. I love the short throw shifter. This is a dream track car.

I cant wait to get back out onto the track.

I go to willow springs and button willow all the time, but the roval is something else and is very special

especially enjoyed the one taken from your friends x51 car - nice that you finally re-caught him - i like to watch the gt3 from the trailling footage as i think it helps me see / learn what i going on with the cars suspension

what was your alignment and what tires were you running?

thanks

Did you read my post?

The slicks and the fact that he was a pro was too much for me to handle in the banking.

Thanks Paul,

-2 front and back camber with small amounts of toe in front and back
the sway bars are at middle setting front and back.

I run the tires really low pressure at the start of a session and let them come up. Makes a huge difference for me.

Rad,

How did you get all that data into your video???

What group were you in?
What was your best time?

I was in blue and my best time was 1:56

What car number do you run with SV? I use 642
