personal preference is most important.
here is mine.
since the 70's porsche has not had any bright psychedelic (sp) colors, RS is very fitting for orange and green.

black with orange graphic or white are both nice but not LOUD as what an RS should be imo.

DD: silver and white due to low key.

least fav: black, only b/c i am too lazy to keep it dust free.

Orange....it was the launch color and will be associated with all literature put out at the same time by the factory

White. You never get tired of it and go through years and fashion.
As a DD, silver is nice but without the orange wheels and bits.
I have to agree that green is very striking, very RS and I would love to have one.
My least favorite : black for the same reason as Mooty and orange is very common (relatively speaking of course).

Orange, it's the signature color. Green also fits the car. White is boring, silver is ugly, black not bad.

I like all of the combinations I have seen except for black with orange script/wheels/etc.

EDIT: oh, and the vomitous white/orange one on ebay.

Orange or Green. If you're going for an RS, go wild. Our world is so boring these days; have you looked at a parking lot lately, it's all white, silver and eighteen shades of dirt (gray). I put my money where my mouth is and ordered a red car against all my friends' advice. I'm very happy with my choice even if it is a bit loud to drive around town.

Having said all that, if the credit crisis continues, fuel continues to cost a fortune, and it becomes socially unacceptable to have a nice car, an orange RS may spend more time in the garage than on the road, out of fear of jealous people damaging it. My friends from the UK tell me that it's tough to drive a bright car out there because you're seen as a show-off. Enjoy the bright colours while we still can.

My favorite is the Black with graphite accents. I have seen only one and it was mean looking.
Silver with Black accents.
but of the std colors I liked the Black with orange

They're all pretty hideous as shipped. Very Techno-Euro chic (a bit too much for me), to each their own

I'm doing what sjgreco did except mine will be black. Won't get many miles and will live under a cover when not in use so blk will work, and along with white are the best in MHO

I did see the pics of the blk w/silver accents and it was heart-stopping for me. So maybe I'll do that. But the Orange decal and wheels go ASAP

I went back and forth between the orange and green...in the end I have always loved the orange so that is what I purchased. The car has truly exceeded my expectations and the sounds with the sharkwerks bypass are intoxicating

It is such a driving experience that the color is secondary; and there is no accounting for personal preference or taste.
