Great shot. Perfect timing by the photographer.
We forget that Porsche still takes part in Rallye races
Its a great testament to Porsches reliability that they continue as
years before in these grueling races.
Can you imagine a GTR in this situation? the Tranny would be about
a even with the ground and a foot below the bottom of the car.

this is why im going to use a gt3 for tarmac rallying next year...

the gt3 is probably the best all round sports car that can adapt to many forms of motorsport..... it also make a great DD too

Perfectly timed shot!

I used to go to the STP rally in Wellsboro, PA back in the early days of the WRC WRX's. Incredible fun to see up close.

Any link to the specs on this car?

Nice picture! Thanks for sharing.
Rally is my favorite form of racing. I used to go every week to watch the rally race with my dad when I was a kid. My grandpa was a Renault engineer for rally racing mainly on the Alpine A110 back in the 70s. Before he was in road racing for Talbot-Lago, Bugatti, Alpha-Romeo and Mercedes. He did is all career for Levegh and Fangio (after the tragic crash of Levegh at the 24h of Le Mans in 55). He was a personal friend of Jean Bugatti. He never worked on Porsches though.

Jeez. The copilots on those rallye cars must have about 50 scopolamine patches stuck on. Also, I just realized that Rallye drivers are the ancestors to the current dRiFTAz!
