What will the next GT2 have?
Which engine will they put in the next GT2? Will they use the new 3.8L from the MY10 turbo or will they develop a turbocharged version of the GT3 3.8L? I think this MY09 GT2 was the last of the hardcore GT2's.

They will use the MY10 turbo engine and I understand they are having problems with development with the DFI unit being unreliable over 530hp so the next GT2 will probably need some tricker componentry like stronger rods....

Seems high to me.... USA is biggest market followed by Germany, China, UK (I think)
So USA took 205 and UK 62, from the number which are always seems to be for sale on Mobile.de I would guess at approaching 200 for Germany/other mobile.de using countries (France, Blegium, Switzerland, Nordic etc).
So my guess would be nearer 500-600. FWIW etc

Peter, I've said this all along, GT2 and GT2RS were produced in similar numbers. You throw in a slightly more unusual paint code like mine and there may only be about 10 units worldwide. As the charts say, there were over three times more Turbo coupes made in 2008, and over 10 times more total Turbo variants made if you include the Cabriolet. GT2 pricing is either too high at MSRP or a fantastic used deal because it's a misunderstood car- I bought one so you know what I think. Add all the goofy crap that mine has, factory installed, like the carbon everywhere AND the Clubsport Rollbar mounts+sub belt mounts and I'm sure it's one of a kind...

I find the chart (and link) provided by bbywu...kind of confusing.
It refers to 2010, as prior year! Then there is mention of 2009 figures, etc.
I've seen some figures on the web referring to total for both years as 1400 cars, while others put it as low as 600 cars only!
Could someone please point to the total number of GT2 produced in 2008 (or 2009).
Cheers!
