Yes, but not just "a detail".
Undecarriage, wheel wells, motor, exhaust polished, interior, glass, all pastics parts, swirl removal, paint sealent, etc, etc. Car is, I think, better than new. Over 60 hours spent working on car, and again, well worth it.

Any TV producers out there? Eddy at Passion for Detailing would like to do a reality TV show , he's got great ideas, a killer shop and real skills plus I figure we can use our cars on the track, then get production company to pay for detailing? Somebody?

Have him put his ideas on paper and I will forward it to a TV producer friend of mine. He is currently pitching a reality show to a couple cable channels. This is a great idea for a show on HD Theater. They seem to be the car enthusiast channel now that Speed is owned by NASCAR.

I sure hope I can find an example as nice as your car when I am ready to buy next year. I have heard of dropping a few dollars on a detail before putting a car or sale but never $4k. Personally I take that as a indication of how well you keep the entire car maintained! If you could talk your wife into keeping it for 6 months, I will pay asking + storage fees to put the plastic back on her and hold her for me =)

+1. Ditto.

And are those beer bottles in 3,5,4 and 6? What are sticking out of 3,5,4 and 6?

Wine bottles (but cork up and drying?)

Anyway, there's numerous places all picked up the idea of furniture from car parts. There was a shop that built those sorts of tables out of 928 engines. I seem to recall at least one ex factory racer where they had one of his winning engines presented to him as a gift (as a coffee table.)

As ever, you can just google it ("v8 porsche engine coffee table") and there's a gazillion places doing it.
