I would love to see a white/red combo with 996RS decals. They would need some work but might be nice. Right now my order is for white/ red with a prayer for decal delete, and will change mirrors for the OEM CF ones.

Hmm, is it just me, or is it a bit bland without any decals?

Tough call either way!

Just spoke to my dealer, the car is definately coming with decals. You'll have to take them off if you don't like them.

Maybe not bad if I can see it in person before I decide:

911 GT3 RS 997 850 Price
BASE 911 GT3 RS 132,800.00
B4 Carrara White 0.00
B4 Carrara White 0.00
28 Black Leather Seats 0.00
XUB Headlight Cleaner cover in Ext 295.00
619 Bluetooth Phone Interface 695.00
810 Floor Mats in Interior Color 90.00
870 Universal Audio Interface 95.00
510 Contrasting Color - Guards Red 0.00
Total with Options $ 133,975.00
+ 1050.00 dealer fee + 1300.00 gas guzzler+sales tax 6%.

Build date is May, only around 200 coming. He is trying desperately to get a 3rd allocation but it does not look good.

I absolutely love the grey. Decals are a really easy removal.... just need a bit of citrus juice to remove the sticky bits left over, which is very little assuming they are the same as the 997.1RS.

Personally I would do the RS with the grey and the decals.... its really a wonderful combo but I am a bit bling...

There may NOT be a requirement to choose Contrasting Color Option 510 or 511 when ordering the car.

But then what color would the wheels be? Silver?

Well, it doesn't specify it in the MUST PICK column, next to the RS colors, so you may be correct. It is mentioned in the list of standard equipment: "Standard contrasting color on wheels, front air intake, exterior mirrors, rear wing sideplates, side stripes, and rear logotype."

I had my dealer put in my proforma without it today. It accepted the order. I originally order the standard silver wheels. But I then had him call PCNA because last thing I wanted was it to either show up with any old contrasting color with silver wheels, or worse the order get delayed. PCNA said must have. Of course we will all probably find out later that it is possible.

boring without the decals, as ironically, the decals balance out the color of the wheels I think porsche 100% got that one right withthe colored wheels AND the decals if you delete one, you need to delete the other or the car looks unbalanced

My dealer said you must choose a contrasting color. Silver wheel option is just silver wheels de rest red or gold.

U.S. Porsche dealers can be idiots. They are not 'decals'. If you want to scrape the "paint" off, it is your business.

Glad there is a delete option.

^

Some "idiot" is not providing you the correct information...

The lettering and flags are decals (30 individual pieces).
