I don't think Rad ever said the STR rotors are lighter than PCCB. I believe he said that the overall setup is lighter because the calipers are lighter, which offset the weight of the iron rotors.

Exactly!

Again, still waiting for hard evidence. I've asked the question - comparison of rotors only; rotors and hats; rotors, hats and calipers - of StopTech as well as major Brembo vendors with no response.

From Sharkwerks: This is for the GTR with iron, for the brembo to be 30lb lighter than the PCCB each rotor would need to be 9lbs lighter than the PCCB. That would be some engineering.

In addition to the eye popping braking, there is a 31 lb weight saving over the stock big red brake kit, which becomes an even greater advantage when considering rotational mass.

Shark Werks is one of very few places in the US to have been authorized to sell this racing brake system, which has been converted for street use. We swear by this kit and are proud to use it on our own cars. Having done lap after lap on Thunderhill and Buttonwillow Raceways, we can confirm these brakes will keep on going without any level of fading, over heating and/or other problems commonly associated with hard track abuse on the stock brake system.
