Default Pads on PCCB gone at track be aware of tapering wear

See pics below of my front PCCB pads. I was driving at Sebring on them but fortunately skipped the last session due to wear, I had no idea the wear was like this as I only saw the top of the pad. The PCCB rotors do not appear damaged at all.

pccb or not, the pads all wear like this for all the gt3's i have had.
the front pads are very easy to change. every two track days, i flip them to even out wear.
glad you didnt damage the rotors.

I flip them only once after 4 days and that also results in almost even wear after 8 - 10 days total.
The rears wear a little more inside pad VS outside pad, but not tapered like the front and so little difference that I don't bother flipping them inside to out.

Join the club. I started a topic about this a few months ago. It seems to be a "feature". Swapping fronts is the only solution (or $$$ to replace your brakes with Alcon or others).

Rears don"t have that issue indeed.

I have big Alcon calipers on my Mustang, they do the same thing, I assumed all calipers do that?

Sorry for the dumb question- think I know the answer, but you are flipping driver side for passenger side or same side just front and back of the rotor?

Same side, move the inside pad to the out side and the outside pad to the inside. I flip mine every other event.

both,
driver side, inside pad to passenger side outside pad.
1. by flipping inside and outsdie, you can even out the tapering.
2. by flipping drive/passenger side, you can even out piston pushing. what i mean is if you always drive on CW tracks, one side will will wear more than the other. so i flip driver passenger (it's on jacks, so doesn't take any longer, and i will be bleeding it and swapping tires left to right anyways)

item 1 is much more beneficial then item 2 though.

Doesn't this switching pattern leave the pads' leading edges as is?

Thanks for clearing that up. Are the rears as prone to tapering as the fronts?

No, just the fronts. The rear inside wears slightly more then the outside, but not worth flipping.

Two dumb questions
How much does it cost to replace the pads?
What are these pads made of?

Thx
