never used them but have seen the ads in grassroots Motorsports

I could not use them without driving my car on to some wood planks because I do not think the with the piece that goes on the jack that I would be able to get under my car

and I hate wood planks

just got an ac jack - bye bye wood planks hopefully

Hey TDM, I don't think u'd get it under your car...I have an AC jack too which sits about 85mm high at the end with the rubber top and it only just clears the car by a few mm's. Those plates alone look 50mm high without taking the jack into consideration which looks at least another 100mm ... good idea, wrong car i think... could b wrong

Hey Rox, I totally hear you about this. I guess the alternative is run the car on a board or two to make up the needed heigth. I am racing a Spec Miata this year so these jacks will have multiple uses. This system is not cheap, but it is a great idea.

I just threw this thread up to troll and see who knows what about it and see if there are alternatives out there with a similar theory. I guess if you just had two jacks you could do the same, withouth the security of the jack stand.

Where is the jackpoint in the center rear? I know where it is on a 996, but not a GT3.

I have AC jack and stand (DK13)

You will still need wood for the rear of the car to put all four points on stands

when working at home, i like AC jackes, i have both the long and short one. even then i need to put rear tires on 2x6 for the long jack to reach it. the short jack... forget it.

for track, get a lwt thing, just drive car over 2x boards. AC jack is very heavy and of a shape hard to pick up. you will break your back.

Hey, would you please expand on this?

If you can't get the jack under your car (car too low) just cut some 2 X 10 18" long, cut a 45 or 30 degree angle on the one end and drive on them before you jack! Cheap and easy.
