Default 3RS Front Wheel Will Fit on the 3?

Does anyone know if the factory RS front CL wheels will fit the regular 7.2 GT3?

Thank you.

GT3 8.5x19 ET53
GT3RS 9x19 ET47

that means around 12mm more to the outside with the RS wheels, I guess that with enough negative camber and/or rotated struts and with the oem 235 tyre of the 3 it would fit.
I was watching a GT3 today and it looked that it would take a 245 without issues.

Thanks John for the info. The reason I want to go with 9" front is to be able to fit 265/30s; otherwise, 8.5" will do for 245s. I'll take some measurements, maybe do some test fittings.

Thank you.

Fatih, if you want to test fit a 9"X19" front, let me know. I have my track set in my garage. Al

of course it'll fit. Given that the RS front fenders have these "stick on" type of wideners. You can even use the stock RS tire width.

NB GT3 offset is 18x9 +50mm (7" backspace)

utkinpol - I also do not understand what you are trying to say. Can you pls help us?

The fronts are 8.5in on a GT3 and 9in on an RS.
Front offsets are 53 on a GT3, 47 on an RS. That should result in the front RS wheel sticking out about 12mm on a GT3, and inward about 0.5mm more, not taking into account effect of tyres.

For what its worth, I plan to put RS wheels on my GT3 in the summer.
Best, w

I say you can fit 9" wide wheels on NB GT3 car with specified offsets, those are sizes of wheels I use, made by CCW. RS is a WB (wide body) car, regular GT3 as well as C2, C2S are NB cars.

what that means is - standard WB fronts are missing your proper NB offset by 3mm and it should fit OK depending of what front camber you run, with 2.5 degrees or more it should be able to 'dive' into wheel well unless you get really staggered tires like 265. with 245 or 255 tires it should fit.

you can always visit local shop and test fit RS rims prior to buying your set, obviously. Also, from what I know CCW is going to make CL rims too so you can email them and ask what sizing do they suggest.

I don't know if the .2 RS and .2 GT3 wheel carrier assembly and stub axle are all the same part numbers. I would assume the extra track of the 997.2 RS compared to the 997.2 GT3 is entirely in the wider front wheel with "wider" offset.

For what it's worth, the 997.1 GT3 and 997.2 GT3 RS can both fit a 265 front tire (at least in a Pilot Sport Cup and a Hoosier R6.)

I could fit the 255/3/18s on the front of my Cayman, and I know it is possible to even fit 265s on it, so I am hoping 265/30/19s will fit the 3, but cannot be sure until we do some test fitment.

I already did last week, but no answer yet. In the mean time, OZ Ultraleggera HLT has proper 9"x19" front fitment for the RS, that is why I am wondering if those would fit the regular 3. If they do, problem solved for $2700 and 24 lbs, if they don't I have to keep waiting on CCW or settle with 8.5"x19"

Getting your MPSC put on Thursday after I burn mine off out at my track! I guess it'll be the last pair until the SuperSports! Thanks again for the tires!
