good starting place
check out tread life remaining, brakes remaining, grease everything, wheel bearings etc
$3500 with a full service and good brakes/lights/tires is fair for an all alum trailer
I think you can get a brand new one for less than. $6k
if all good that is not a bad asking price

Thanks guys. A little to pricey for me right now. Especially since I'm planning on a second set of lightweight forged track wheels (I love the HRE P40 CL and I know not everyone does), but let's just stick to trailers on the thread. Sorry, my fault.

if the $3500 trailer checks out - haggle and get it... you will lose very little money selling it if you want to upgrade later
think of it as a temp place holder like I think of mine... when I get back into a diesel truck, I am likely moving to enclosed trailer

Trailex 7541 means 75 inches wide and 4100 lbs capacity. 8045 means 80 inches wide. The plain GT3 is 72 inches wide and just fits the smaller trailer. The RS is 74 inches wide and you would have to be perfect.

I've been looking too but stopped because a nice used one evidently does not exist. So I called Carl. It turns our what everyone says about Carl is true. He is clearly extremely knowledgeable and very patient as he took his time to explain things so that even a noob like me can understand. And the strange thing is he actually talked me out of a few options that I thought I needed. Oh, and there is a sale going on--5% off the trailer itself and free aluminum wheel upgrade.

I would buy that one if it was out on the west coast for $2,750-$3,000. As long as they are in good shape, they really hold value at that price. Adding the tire rack, a storage box and a winch is easy. However, if you find one for $5,000 with it already installed, you should go for that one.
