Default WTB: Used Trailex CT-8045 SB

Looking for a used Trailex CT-8045 trailer with surge brakes to haul my 997.2 GT3.
Anyone have one for sale? I don't really want to buy a new one...
Please PM me if you do or know someone who does.
Thanks.

I went through this same process

Find a used one and then u have to find a way to ship it to yourself and it's expensive

Call carl at Trailex , he will get u a deal on shipping and new cost is close to used cost....

I'm kind of leaning that way now. What about Featherlite?

I looked at featherlite, it is a bit heavier than Trailex

Went with Trailex because of the light weight and open floor

With open floor I do oil changes at home after track days

Two other advantages of the Trailex. 11 foot ramps make it easier to load an unload a car with a low front spoiler AND you don't have to remove the fenders as the fenders on a trailex are low and allow you to open the car door over the fenders. Great trailer... only reason I would even think of upgrading would be for their enclosed model..... out of the budget though.

Gentleman:
About two month ago, Trailers, Inc., Rte 245 in Cairo, NY had a new, leftover, featherlight car trailer (dual axle) with aluminum wheels still sitting on their lot, no storage box, no winch, no tire rack...but they sell most if not all of those goodies. When I inquired, at that time, the price was somewhere in the neighborhood of $4,500.00, if I remember correctly. They also had one other trailer (aluminum) made by lightning?????? Happy Hunting.

The Featherlite and Aluma trailers are about 1350 lbs. If you can live with the additional 400 lbs over the Trailex you can get a good quality trailer at a 30%+ discount to a new Trailex or for the same price as a used trailex (or even slightly less).

removing fl fender takes literally 3 seconds
a pair of race ramps solves the long ramps issue
you get electric brakes standard on the fl

if weight is not the issue and you do not have to have an open floor, I say go after the one thar you can get the best deal on...

they are both great - I don't see many trailex out my way because there is no trailex dealer in the NW.

I'm looking for a trailer too. I thought electronic braking is better than surge braking? Am I not understanding something? New Ford trucks, for example, offer integrated trailer brake controller. Looks like an easy way to go?
