When I picked up my new to me GT3 from the seller, I received one remote key and one black plastic valet key. For the 2007 GT3's, were these the only two keys that came with the new car, or are there supposed to be two remote keys and the one black valet key? The owners manual has a picture of one remote and one valet key.

There should have been two keys that look and function the same, and as I understand since 2008 they no longer provide the wallet key.

When I bought my pervious 2007 Carrera S (I think the GT3 was similar in the same year) brand new, it came from factory with two master remote keys and a plastic key.

Each of the two master keys will be reconized (and displayed on the dash) by the car individually as Key1 or Key2 if the car came with the Sport Chrono package (was like that in my 2007 Carrera S, I think it was similar in the 2007 GT3.)

Thanks for your help. It looks like there is consensus that it came with 2 remote keys and the plastic valet key in 2007. I'll go back and see if the previous owner can find the other key.

I also have a 2007 GT3 and have 1 remote key and 1 plastic valet key, bought the car new.

^ all 07 came with TWO remote key (they look the same) and one tiny cheap black plastic key

ask your dealer for one if you only got one. it's not cheap. by the time you programmed it will be about $400.

2008 GT3, mfg. date Nov. 2007. 2 remote keys, NO plastic key. Was told they did away with the plastic one. If I didn't get one, I will be PO'd.

Very old thread, yes . '08 GT3 RS here, with 2 "regular" keys, no plastic key. That seems to be in line with what others reported but I'd love to hear from other '08 GT3 / GT3 RS owners on how many keys their cars came with.

My 07 GT3 has two silver keys and one black plastic key.

I’ve never seen an 08 GT3/RS with a black plastic key.

Keep in mind the original .1 silver keys are NLA (no longer available) from what I can tell. I have seen a new in box silver one come up on eBay.
