I wouldn't be surprised anymore if Porsche came out with another 997 model...
The thing that threw me off was the weight.
The weight is ~190 pounds lighter than the US Spec C2 (all the weights are grossly underestimated from Porsche) which was within the realm of believability, given the lost sunroof, A/C, Radio/Speakers/Amp, TFT TV Screen, Alu doors, Sport Buckets, Light Wheels, Lightweight Headlights, Sound Deadening, Light Exhaust, Center Console, etc.
Right, I never thought the car would weigh actually under 2,900 pounds, but I did think that spec could be true in the context of what Porsche says their other cars weigh. The weight figure wasn't enough to make me think it was a joke (but I did check the calendar a couple time to be sure it wasn't April 1st )
I'm holding out for my 997.2 GT3-S which will have the DFI 9A1 engine with 425hp mated to PDK-S, no sun roof and RSR theme aero bits.....come on Porsche!
