Don't sell it because it sounds like you don't have to.

This is one of the very few 911s that can stand on its own parked next to the more flamboyant Italian models like the LPs, Scuds, etc. The only other model that has this kind of extroverted vibe is the 4.0, but even that one needs the vinyl bits to stay level. Performance-wise, we all know how the 2RS stack ranks.

Keep it and see what happens in a few years. Aside from systemic forces out of our control, it can only get better for you as the owner of this rare beast mode of a machine.

Thanks.

Pete,
Sounds to me like your problem is not enough battery tenders, not too many cars.

Never again from Porsche will we see all 4 of the following in one road legal car:
600+ hp
2wd
manual trans
non hybrid

I say keep her... she is the exclamation point on an era that will will long for in the future.

If I could afford it, I would have already bought it from you :-)

if you do sell it, good luck with the sale.

Could you imagine owning;

1) GT3 RS
2) GT3 RS 4.0
3) GT2 RS

Wow what that must be like!!

Imagine having three lovely beautiful wives Now imagine 3x PMS and expenses

You get the picture

Multiple car ownership is highly overrated. The reality does not match the fantasy.

Not quite 60k, but painful nevertheless. Good for a buyer though!

A buyer seeking a compelling discount on an essentially new car now has the opportunity to fulfill his wish with my sale. I am priced to move.

imho most realistic way would be to trade it in back to a dealer, in this economy it may be a trick to find a buyer for such toy... plus ebay is not a best venue for a car like this imho, you`ll need special ads in good magazines for this car to sell.

plus no matter how rich one can be - $60K loss is a lot, i would get rid of other cars and kept this one. $60K can buy a heck of a track car up to 996 cup unless you have to have a brand new RSR.

I think Savy is smart. These cars will go down in value like any modern car.

There is no point in having 3 modern thoroughbreds in the garage, especially if you enjoy the track.

Only works out if you treat them as disposable items (both cars and spouses). Stuff that sits on the front lawn on cider blocks. These people don't seem to be bothered by multiple car/conjugal companion situations.

Or if you have a good team of eunuchs (or mechanics+test drivers).
I know of one person with the team of mechanics and driving pros. Works out well for him (he has stuff that makes your cars look like matchbox toys in comparison). That requires very serious money.
I haven't seen anyone I know use eunuchs. I have no idea how well it works out. Probably requires more financial resources than the car stuff.

This I agree with 100% - Everytime I have tracked my RS I have felt guilty! When I race my Cup, I have no second thoughts, even when we rub panels. 
