Default New Boxster and Wide body 991

I wonder if the new Boxster previews the wide body versions of the 991:

What I like is the CGT-like sides. Could the turbo have similar openings, and not the RS or C4? They're so prominent, unlike the ones on the current Boxster, Cayman, and Turbo/GT2, that they could not be omitted on the other wide body cars. If that major design characteristic of the CGT is on the Boxster, how could it not be on the Carrera?

It might be one benefit of the stretched wheelbase for the mid-engined cars - more room to include these kinds of features. I'm not sure it will translate to the 991, however. Best looking Boxster yet!

The rear wing is interesting in that it extends to the tail lights. Very aggressive from the side profile as others have mentioned. Aesthetics wise, this is a nice evolution with a more sinister look.

Looks better than the new 911. Agree with arctic. The CGT side vents and lights look great.

It looks like the boxster finally gets different doors from the 911. I am wondering if they still share front chassis geometry?

Except for the funky tail lights I really like the rest of the car

Armando, the new Boxster look great ... but have you seen the 2013 Cayman? It looks fantastic and 1000X better than previous generation by extending the rear B pillar. Cayman looks like the next generation 911 replacement and the ugly bug eye 991 is basically a two door panarama with it's extra long body proprotion. Mid engine, perfect proportion, PDK and thousands less than 991. I love it! Will seriously consider a 2013 Cayman!
