Default Cup auto blipper

One thing I love about Porsche is that you can buy just about any racing parts direct from factory. Try that with any other car company and they will laugh at your face.

I decided to get the auto blipper to ensure proper throttle blip when I down shift to minimize tranny wear and tear. I can blip the throttle but can not guarantee it is done perfectly every single time. 2010-2011 Cup has more electronic variable that you can modify to smooth out the blip hence ECU reflash is recommended for the 7.2 Cup. Both 7.1 and 7.2 Cup use mechanical throttle.

Here is a picture of the Porsche auto blipper. $1500 for the whole thing. I love working on cars just as much driving on track. This is like Christmas ... more toys

Looks like fun, and I bet the final result is even better.

Enjoy

This is an automated rev matcher? Like on a 370z? I had no idea Porsche had such a thing.

Do you need to do anything to operate it? It looks entirely mechanical.

What made you decide on the Porsche model (vs. the Manthey unit)?

Good call Mike! It's the best ever! You're going to love it! And way to go with the genuine Porsche parts!

No, it's completely different from the 370Z. This is all mechanical where as 37- Z is all electronic and I believe the brain sits on top of the tranny housing

Manthey's stick system shown below cost ... you sitting down? $2K!!?? Now that is just wrong. Parts for Manthey's autoblipper should cost no more than $50. I am not going to pay 40X mark up.

No, it's for Cup car only. There is no auto blipper for street GT3.

No. I did not ask how much it cost to flash ECU. It does not apply to my 7.1 Cup

Would love to hear your feedback on "programming your brain" to accept that hiting the shifter will also rev the engine... My right foot would be twitching for the first few days I'm sure.

How does this work being mechanical vs the electronics in the Z car?

Pulley assembly mounts under the shifter. Pulleys ride on the throttle cable, when shifter is moved forward, cable is tightened slghtly resulting in appropriate blip.

And most all of you guy say that PDK is not a "man enough" transmission and how heel and toe is the only way to prove you have the man card....and now this throttle blipper to ensure perfect rev matches and you all embrace it. LOL...ya'll are a funny bunch! ;-)

+1.

Wish I had PDK in my car, makes it way easier to concentrate on the line and other aspects of driving.
