GT2/GT3 owners thoughts on the Panamera?
Curious to hear this forums thoughts on the Panamera. I feel like this particular forum has the most honest feedback and has the more natural enthusiasts involved. Would you guys consider one as your sedan or 2nd, 3rd car to your GT? Thoughts and impressions from driving any or all the trim levels?

Here's my thoughts on the Panamera:
Performance is excellent for such a large sedan. Porsche really had killed the competition.
Looks..hum...B pillar forward is nice, B pillar rear is ugh... Large wheels & low ride setting helps things but it's not Porsche's best design by far. It does however have road presence.
Interior is also attractive.
Personally I prefer sedans more of the 5 series size & according to reports Porsche may be working on a sedan to fit under the Panamera; I'm waiting to see what they come out with, but in the meantime I would rather purchase a Cayenne S.

What do you want to know? I got one for my wife to use.
Excellent individual seating for 4. Really drives like a sport car. I traded a 535xi for it, and the Panamera is more sporty.
Even though I got the V6 engine with just 300hp, I never felt that it is slow for street driving. I took it out once for our Porsche club driving, and it has no problem hanging with 911s and Boxsters on curvy roads.
Only drawn back is a small trunk. It really is quite small. Also lacking a 5th seats. Look-wise it is very subjective. Any angles looking from the front is good. I am getting use to its rear as well, it has a 911-like tail look from some angles, not your traditional sedan look, just different.
For utility, definitely get a Cayenne variant before the Panamera.

to each his own.
i rather drive a mini van, much cheaper, equally as fugly.
i have no need to go faster than 80mph and the minivan does just fine for me. throttle steers beautifully while scaring me and everyone else on the road. love it (the minivan that is.)

Love the front. Really don't like the back.
I have a 11 Cayenne S, which is basically the same interior. So, between the Cayenne and the GT3, I feel I have both ends of the spectrum, and don't need the middle ground of the Panamera.

In a big comfy sedan I want a slush box or at least a wet first gear like AMG cars..
It sure would need to look sexier then Pana, although I like interior.
I'd take anything "63" or "65" from MB, but if MB is not for you $ for $ you get a lot more comfy and also very fast 4 door stuff elsewhere.

I mean the old ones with the 6.2L, with the new ones I am sure they are faster with the TT's but there's still lag and no sound. The 63 is now closer and can be tuned to 65 numbers, but still not 735TQ of the '05 CL65 I miss a lot
'11 BMW535 now, but probably the last Turbo car I buy, kinda regret not getting C63 (The last real 6.2) for similar $$.

stick with mercedes and porsche. n/a motors are the best, although the 55's with the s/chargers were also a good motor. i'm kinda liking the r230 sl's right now. pretty good buy for a 2004/5

I had the good fortune to drive a variety of manufacturers cars (all stock, sedans & coupes) at Mid Ohio earlier this year. No restrictions, no passengers, just a bunch of instructors dicing it up on track. The Panamera was by far the best sedan of the bunch. If I didn't look in the rear view mirror and see a back seat I might have forgotten I was driving a 4100# sedan.

I might own a Pana as a third or fourth vehicle. When I have two driving age teenagers and the wife is driving some Euro SUV. As of right now I have neither.
I would own one, maybe when you get a Turbo S model for $75K in a few years or so.
My big problem is I haven't driven a car in like three months! I'm Jonesen' to get some seat-time in something. At this point I don't care if it is a Yugo, Morris Marina or Clio Cup... Just something.
