Default 100k budget...what would you get?

I am going to get another car and the budget is 100k plus or minus a few bucks. I am leaning towards a .1 GT3 and adding Sharky's 3.9!!!

I would rather buy a 2010 GT3. It's a more well-rounded package.

If you must have a engine job, I would do a 4.0 liter. You get a complete engine rebuild by default since you have to take it down to the crank and the can build it up with race proven Porsche motorsports parts, Mahle pistons, etc. A basic 3.9 build doesn't require splitting the case.

2010-11 .2GT3

why? i like shark 3.9 and serge's 4.0 but you change cars way too fast. 3.9 and 4.0 takes longer to resell. 2010-11 GT3 you can get in and out quick.

at 100-110k budget, there is nothing close to it.

I think if you post that question in different forums, you'll get a different answer every time. 997.2 GT3 for sure.

I have to come clean...I am leaning towards a green or black .1RS + Sharky's 3.9! If you have either car drop me a PM.

For 100k:

early production 997.1RS (roll bar mounts are already under carpet).

Would make sense if you could find a really high mileage example. So really worth being patient to find the perfect "donor" car.

Candidly, I don't see the appeal of the 3.9 conversion. The same money will get you the clubsport rear cage, the GT2 sport bucket seats, a set of track wheels, and a season's worth of tires. Much better money spent, if you ask me -- both in what you get and in what you can recover on resale.

I hardly ever wish I had a little bit more power when I'm on the track and certainly don't care when I'm on the street. It's a lot of money for a marginal improvement over a car that's already got adequate power.

Now, do I crave motons and hoosiers and solid engine mounts? hell yeah. but more power? nah.
