Default Starter Motor Relay

Guys,

I am getting an intermittment non start "click" about 1 in 10 times on trying to start the car.

Been told by OPC that it's a strong likelood that it's the starter motor relay.

Whereabouts is this located?

Cheers

Sorry mate.

Apparently it's quite a common issue. Loads of posts on varying forums about this issue, but no one has posted a resolve of the problem

It would seem it could be the following:

Clutch switch - mine's ok
Dead cell in battery?
Intermittent Starter Motor problem?
Starter Motor Relay?

HELP!!

Was the tech not able to resolve your issue or have you not taken it in yet for repair?

No, haven't taken it in, as it only happens intermittently.

Battery is obviously nearly 5 years old, so thought i'd change this and the simple stuff such as the relay before i committ to spending money at OPC for investigation

Check the ground strap; make sure the nut is tight. On the 6-3 its near the rear muffler, frame rail, passenger side (link)

So just got car back. Turns out it was a bad starter motor. Replaced under warranty. Apparently they've had a few.
