if NJGT runs PAG PCNA, i want NJGT RS spec., if not...
as far as options goes, zero option is the best.

Car does not exist so we are speculating at best...
It will likely be a 2014 model introduced in late 2013 as in past years.
What ever it will be it is safe to assume that the car will be outfitted with all sorts of "save your behind"gizmo's.
Delete as much as you can IMHO.
There is no doubt that the NEW GT3 -RS-CUP will have to be Epic if Porsche wishes to stay ahead of the competition.
Just my 02..

I'll take the NJGT spec with the optional manual transmission and regular clutch.
OR
Maybe we will have the TRAKCAR edition. Take whatever you race, except ignore all sanctioning rules and make it lighter faster cheaper and do absolute minimum to make the VIN# street legal and put everything that would make it illegal in a box.

Whatever the case, with the 991 platform targeted to be around until 2025 we can expect endless GT3 variations along the way.....

if porsche really sets a goal to compete with ferraris we can easily see $300K price tag on new generation of GTx cars.. that would be sad.

I'm holding out for a 3RS w/ PDK minimum 500hp on the second model year offered.
If no PDK is avalible then I would pass I guess till it's worked out. Anything less or only equal to the RS 4.0 would be a step back for me IMO.

whole concept of GTx car was a 'downgrade' version or their RSR and cup top racers for general market. we still have no idea how 'new' cup car will even look like as current season did not end up very well for what they did in 2011 cup car, with all respect to Flying Lizard team it is difficult to compete with at least 100 ponies less than your competition. and i find kinda doubtful to presume that Porsche will want to sustain and support 2 different kinds of cup/RSR cars - one '997' like and other based on mid-engine concept. plus who in sane state of mind will even buy that mid-engine car if it will not be race tested? and same applies to hypotetical 991 gt3 ar - if it is not derived from current cup car - what good is in it?
imho '997' platform got pushed to the limit already and they simply cannot do anything more with 6 flat boxster motor. but, who knows.
Plus, previously they had a lot of similarities across all platforms and as it was already posted - 991 street car got pretty much nothing left from 997 car concept, most if not all modules and mount points are different, at least it looks like this from what was posted in the 991 forum.
