4.0 break in time
I would like to canvas the RL'ers here for some of their recommendations regarding the initial break in period on the 4.0 engine/tranny etc.
Is it the same as the .2GT3RS, ~ 2000 miles at under 4500 RPM, and no bouncing off the rev limiter ?
I would tend to believe that some of the 4.0 owners here, that live to the south of Canada, are well into and or past the mileage/break in period by now.

if you dont exceed 4500 rpm for 2000 miles, rest assured, you will have the slowest RS in the world.

I followed Pete's procedure but just limited my rpms to say 7-7.5k rpms for the entire break in period. Plenty of second gear pulls etc and a track day at 1000km followed by a flush of engine and gearbox oils... Oil consumption is minimal and she runs a treat....
