i know of a new 2011 carbon edition (by the way, that is the one to get) that is dying a slow death on a showroom floor.... brand new and I bet $80K cask takes it...
the bang for the buck is so good it hurts..
I will grow a mullet... who cares

Mullet is going to be problem.
Interior can be fixed with new model.
The thing is, I am not sure if I would ever get use to seeing 36sq. ft. of hood in front of me that seems to want to go airborne everytime you accelerate ;-)

Porsche has painted itself into a corner. It will be interesting how they will respond. The GT3 has staedily become more reliant on electronics to keep drivers safe as possible under the circumstances. But that has reduced the purity and skill levels needed to extract the most out of the car. I agree that the longer wheelbase and wider front track are just what their customer race engineers have asked for and that is a good thing. However it will not make the cars more fun to drive, especially with the numb electric power steering that Porsche (and BMW) are now using to gain a bit of mpg at the expense of steering feel. A light weight Cayman "RS" actually sounds like more fun on track days as long as it does not cost $100K or come with electric steering.

Get a stripper 2013 Caymen, plop in Engine, some exhaust and tuning and Presto 400 to the wheels in a Caymen. Still no steering feel, but should be a but lighter and better balanced. Perhaps they will build a Cayman GT.....

For the price of Vette's and there track potential...I'd have one if it had a reliable PDK type of transmission.

Mike you next GT3 might be a Corvette then.
The 2013 will have some kind of fast shifting 7 speed, see a picture of a manual showing 7 gears and they mention a dual clutch gearbox as well! I fail to see why you need 7 gears with over 500lb torque but whatever.
