My GT3RS project: "Airborne Ranger"
A few weeks ago I started a MAJOR overhaul on my RS with the help of Champion Motorsport, to address just about every aspect of the car's performance. The goal is to pretty much turn it into a dedicated track car with the power, handling, reduced weight, and longevity to provide me with the ultimate track machine for years!
To make it a little easier, I'll just copy/paste the info that they've posted over on another board....so here goes. Enjoy
The upgrades planned will touch on every aspect of the car....including suspension, interior, engine, and *maybe body. There will be several new parts that we're working on specifically for this car, so we're anticipating about 90 days for completion, but I'll keep you all posted and updated with photos and info as often as possible. For now, enjoy a few "before" pics, along with a few pics on the dyno getting our baseline numbers.
And here's the baseline numbers. I'm not sure how these compare to other GT3RS's out there, but this particular car does already have quite a host of upgrades. The dyno in this case is really just to give us a delta, or a number to compare with so that we can measure the improvement once the project is complete. Out of several runs, results were REALLY consistent, about 396hp at the wheels. Two dyno sheets are attached, one measured in STD, and once measured in SAE. Not much of a difference...some people are used to seeing one or the other.

A few more goodies that were already added....
A must for any track car....the 996 Cup Car shifter cables from Porsche Motorsport are in line for install:
Since the car will basically become a dedicated track car, we're also installing these nifty little tie-downs which will make it easier to strap the car down to the trailer going to and from the track.
We'll also be installing a whole host of track goodies from the good guys up at Rennline. If you haven't checked out their products, you definitely should. Their track mats in particular, are a must for even casual DE events!
A couple more interior bits and pieces are this OMP flat-bottomed steering wheel. And of course, for safety, a set of Schroth HANS-specific harnesses.

And last but not least....my favorite part of the project....my new 4.2L fully built and race-prepped engine!!
I'm SO excited at this point! I can hardly wait for the car to be running, which will hopefully be pretty soon!
