oh, on most low mile RS4.0 current price will produce ROI of 35-40% on aveage (note i said avearge). but in the lovely state of KALIFORNIA, i paid 9% on sales tax. so if you really calculated correctly, you just lost approx 10% on that return. we have no tax credit in cars. whenyo ubuy the next car, you pay tax on the ENTIRE amount, not the DIFFERENCE.

No state income tax... that'll save you, what, 11%?
No sales tax on private party auto sales.
Great general aviation airport over the hill in Minden.
Fly to work in the City.
Or not.

That was way before I had the skill and knowledge I do now, and of course incorporated to contract myself out.

Everybody speaks of ROI, but what is your Internal Rate of Return? Thats only if you look at your car purchase as an investment. Which a lot of us are looking at the 4.0 as. You would have thought that the 7.2RS was an investment too when it first came out.
Wish Porsche would yell us how limited their production runs would be like Ferrari does. At least they come out and say they're making 399 of a specific model.
Unlike the F40 where they said they were making a specific amount, forget how many, and they just kept on making them because of demand. Talking about an over priced car.

Wow. There really are some low mileage ones out there. I thought I was doing pretty well at 2800 miles and counting. I only have time for weekend spirited early morning LA canyon runs. Quite satisfying! Personally, I don't see prices on these 4.0's goin down. Demand too high and ever diminishing supply for the last and best of the manual GT3's.
