While I'd love this, 450hp feels far too optimistic/hopeful. It's far too dramatic of a jump in performance over the 981 GTS, and far too much over that of a 991 C2 and C2S, and too close to a 991 C2 GTS when it drops.
I appreciate the optimism, and don't want to burst any dream bubbles, but a 450hp 981 GT4 is not smart from a business standpoint for PAG.

I like 4 banger turbos. A street/de NA 4 banger u can only extract so much hp/trq whereas 6 cyl or 8cyl- they can make large power wo FI. Shoe in a 3.0 boxer(I would be happy if it was 375 hp) 4 with 2 small snails in a midengine layout with MT- would be a very fun car on track. Definitely not a replacement for the venerable Gt3 series car but it be fun driving it on track. Mike

4 banger turbo based on the 919, would give them motorsports cred at least... We've got the last of the "real" motorsports engine! Also heard that the GT4 is a test mule for the pending 960... I expect the GT4 to slot in top of the Cayman food chain, less power than 911 Turbo, about on par with GT3 track times wise but not as fast as pending 991 RS (I'm not gracing it with GT3RS until they announce no turbos...). And I agree, I have nothing against a boosted 4cyl. Nice and light, plenty of power and super easy to extract more power if the bottom is built right... Check those rod bolts!
