No offense to mooty, but we have the technology to obviate the need to employ the seat of his pants...

We will take the trade-in program in consideration. Thank you for the suggestion.

Yes the Bilstein GT3/RS/GT2 Damptronic coilovers do have different spring rates than the Carrera/2S/4S/Turbo variants. My measurement of the Bilstein GT3 front using a MK Technologies chassis spring tester is same as what you have posted at 350 in-lb. However, my rear spring rate measurement is not the same as yours. I got closer to 720 in-lb.

Here are others Bilstein spring rated for reference-
GT3/RS/GT2 2006 production year ~330/720
GT3/RS/GT2 2010 production year ~350/720
Carrera/2S ~260/570
Carrera 4/4S ~290/570
Turbo/S ~290/660

*Besides the GT3/RS/GT2 coilovers, all others have consistent spring rates throughout the production years from by testing*
**I have rounded these numbers to the nearest 10**

thanks for that info

when i got this information from them it really surprised me as it was kind of strange but he was very insistent it was true

we even had a long discussion about it and he explained that the factory was crazy for choosing such a soft OE mk1 front spring rate but they thought the rear rate was good

i wonder if an earlier kit used a softer rear rate and they then bumped it when the mk2s came out with and even higher rear rate

a different P/N in PET would probably indicate such - but you probably thought of that already!

Yes I have that setup for Harry's its pretty good and ~.1 within actual lap times I find

Let us know how it goes, I want to firm up my .1, really don't like the normal street car wobble on turn in, but also don't want to have to run crazy springs and shocks that make the car less street friendly

Please be advised that even though DSC functions the same on all 997 models the different models do have different CAN(Control Area Network) ID codes to "handsake" with the instrument cluster, just as the factory PASM boxes do. Not all models are interchangeable. As a result of non-interchangeable CAN ID codes, DSC will still function as intended but there will a PASM fault message displayed on the instrument cluster. For that reason, it is important to get the DSC coded for your model.

PM sent re price.
Very cool..thank you!!!!
