i wonder if an earlier kit used a softer rear rate and they then bumped it when the mk2s came out with and even higher rear rate
Welcome.

Agree that the OE front spring rates are way too soft for .1 and borderline soft for .2. My test results were 220 in-lb for .1 and 270 in-lb for .2. I drove one track event with .2 front springs, it felt better but still needed more spring(even inconjunction with TPC 29mm GrandAm front bar set one from full stiff) to make it car stable under braking. That's one area DSC will shine.

The earlier Bilstein GT3 kit I tested did have slightly softer rear springs. Production 12/2006 rears measured at 712/717. Production 12/2011 measured at 724/730.

I have everything in stock except for the top nuts. The local machine shop I've been working with has the drawing but they are push through some military contract work before making the nuts for us. I said okay because they had a rough year before getting the contract.

Have discussed at length with Tom and I'm watching intently. Many of the comments posted so far have been from street driving applications; very interested in assessments and comparative lap times from additional experienced and objective/non-affiliated GT3 drivers. Most relevant to readers if performed at tracks they are familiar with.

For any of the track heads, the place that I would like to know if any change can be felt is in the areas that the ABS controller traditionally has difficulties:

- bumpy brake zones
- downhill brake zones

For example, if anyone is going to Watkins Glen, the downhill Turns #1 & #6 you traditionally get significant brake pedal pressure release (especially in #6) as you get deep into the brake zone. I wouldn't call the above 'Ice-mode' brake zones but 'Ice-mode Light' - and for sure if this could be improved you could go faster.

If anyone is going to be testing on track, if you can name the track, I'm sure someone on this site can weigh in and mention the corners on each track, if there are any, where you can traditionally reveal these ABS issues; and, since the controllers are easy to switch, it would be great if you could do so and test these corners specifically to see if there is any improvement.

Look forward to the results.

Hmm, ok, I think after Larry's assessment this weekend, I might end up having to buy at least one of these...

Looking forward to the verdict.

How does one even go about getting one? Can't find anything on their site. Anxiously waiting for Larry's test results.
