If the RS America is any indication.....RS America.....or .....3.8 RS..... Crazy money on these cars.
Still don't get the RS America thing. Must be the limited numbers that is driving the values. Should hold true on the 4.0. Should make it worth a million bucks in 10 years.

That is very interesting, but more interesting to me will be the 991rs! I'm not to sure it will sell as good as PAG thinks. Just look at how popular the 997.2rs is and what price a good condition car goes for! Normally when a new model is released the old version takes a significant hit! Not the case this time. I bought my 4.0 to drive it and my 6rs as an investment but with these prices it's hard to find it relaxing to take the 4.0 to the track!
FWIW / my 0.02, much more fun and for many reasons with the 6gt3 on track. I'm also a slow learner ;-)
Last 2 years the 4.0 is strictly for coffee and hanging with friends.

991rs will sell
but they will trade lower than MSRP in used market when the next Rs comes out
bc the latest is faster
all variants of 7gt are way slow compared to 991 but no one buys them to be fsst now. it's something u drive and keep.
buy up all the old gt cars.
I know I am.

I have been keen on the GT3s since back in 2004 and I have kept an eye on the market each time they come out.
The 991 version of the GT3 is the first GT3 that when it came out there were more for sale on the used car market then any other GT3 release.
That is a strong statement for how good the previous GT3s are versus what the 991 GT3 has become which is strictly an appliance for speed.
I don't know why anyone would buy the 991 GT3, it would make more sense to just lease it and replace it every time the next 991 GT3 is available.
If I ever get one and I don't see that happening but if I did it would be just a lease and short term one at that.

I sold my .2 to get a .1, that's how crazy I am. Never cared for horsepower or speed, just fun.
Porsche is headed down the same path as BMW, diminishing driver involvement so that more buy the car. Worked for BMW, why not Porsche?
How many of you would pick a E39 M5 or even a E34 M5 over the E60 (amazing engine by the way, just superb) M5, and now the silly F10 M5?

e60 looks like a brick
F10 looks like glovis companion, the ship that's carrying my 991GT3.

Love the E39. Drove the E60 yesterday and just felt large. Power is great but...

Only that? No time for a quick track day to have some fun? In Europe the 4.0 RS prices are really high.
I know two owners that they have converted their 4.0 cars into strictly track day toys. I don't agree with that movement but i agree that these cars needs some time on the track!

After two years of searching I found a E34 M5. That's a badass car as well. Just couldn't agree in a price.

If anyone has a heart throb for one, I know of a really nice clean one for sale in Austin. PM me.
Edit - This is for an E39 M5...
