Well the 3.6 can be bumped to 3.9 with a measly 500hp

3.6 can have 4.1 conversion done as well. You will just end up with a bunch of 3.6 parts laying around since they won't be used.

Thanks folks didn't get our copy yet so will look for it! 4.1 and 3.9 are different but we've gone back and forth on this and still seems like the 3.9 is a better fit on the mk1 platform and the 4.1 is best left to the mk2. Could it be done to a mk1... Sure but the traction and stability management is better equipped on the mk2 to help deal with it vs the mk1. It'd be a real widow maker on a mk1 and not in a safe way

So with everything you know I'm doing to my .1 you suggest going 3.9 with some tricks I mentioned vs doing it 4.1

I've talked to Snowboarder, Joe R and other 3.9 owners who've driven the 4.1 too. Sure more power and torque is great but the engines do have different characters too. I think the 4.1 really benefits from having extra nannies, slightly better chassis etc.. I think it's easier for most to drive the 3.9 in a rythm faster than the 4.1. The 4.1 is more of a handful which isn't always helpful either

I think it makes more financial sense too if any of this could even ever make any sense lol?!?

Cool. Makes sense. Did darth vader 3.9 add more aggressive cams and what was the result of that?

The thing is u might need to drive the 4.1 and 3.9 more in the mean time to decide haha Darth Vadar got our intake update and bilsteins. 3.9 cams are same as before it's just I figured I'd get a video of it for once and focus on the lope vs the exhaust hah

I thought the .1 and .2 chassis was one and the same. How are they different?

Well pasm suspension and shocks / sways, springs geometry etc are not on the narrow and rs on mk1 and 2. Couple that with the controllers for pasm, stability management...

I sold my .2 for a .1. The .1 felt much more raw than the .2. It's staring to make sense. Love the twitching and little corrections I've to do while pushing the car. And that 3.6, man it just goes up faster than the 3.8.

And with the savings you have enough to punch up to a 3.9!
