Considering Selling 2008, need help with price

OP, Nice car. Please reconsider selling and keep. I think you put a lot more $ out there and not sure you really get much more enjoyment out of the car. I think some other modifications will make the car faster and more predictable on track and allow you to continue to push it harder and harder (suspension / diff / etc). If you feel you need more power a 4L upgrade will cost a lot less than selling and moving to an RS which you might fear tracking as much and as hard due to the price variance....
Anyway that's my take.

Cobalt Blue - fantastic color. Wouldn't trade it - too much $ for not that much difference in performance for a 7RS.

Excellent choice. No other car out there with the road and track abilities that is as much fun as the 997.1 GT3. The .2 RS is a great car, but not a good road car and not as raw as the .1. Enjoy it and murder it if you can.

Beautiful GT3!!! It's a keeper for sure. You will regret the day you sold it - forever. It's a dead-guy car. Meaning, the only chance the title being transferred is after you die.
Purchased a white 07 GT3 this January and payed $80k with 38k miles. I'm guessing my car has about as many track miles as yours. I've already spent $12k on it getting it back into top shape such as rotors, brakes, LSD rebuild, 4.0 graphics and suspension adjustments. My point - I have $92k in it and wouldn't take $100k today for it. Going to make it a weekend car and Track it about 6 times a year.
For the one waiting to buy for $70k - not going to happen. And good luck finding one below $80k ever.

Being a prospective GT3 buyer I will offer you my opinion. It is not my intent to offend anybody and I apologize if I do. I do know the "asking" prices for these cars has been going crazy so much to the point even if I had the money that some of the people are asking I am out for now. Considering the mileage being 54000 and the fact that it has been tracked the last 21000 miles I would think it would be in the < 70,000 range. Actually way below. That said the market is crazy and there seems to be a market for these car with the Porchefiles so who knows. I hope you do get what people are suggesting. Good luck with your sale, it is a beautiful car.

GT3 prices are all over the map right now, mostly inflated from dealers inventory. I don't think they able to sell those cars anyway. For the money people asking for 997.1GT3, I rather buy a brand new GT4. However, I must admit I love the Mezger engine of NA GT3 over my 997.1TT but I wouldn't trade for it though.
If you willing to spend another $15k, you can buy a used 997.2GT3 for $110k with less than 20k miles.

I did quite a bit of reading on the GT4 and thought for a brief second what car I'd prefer. It's not even a contest. Lower HP from a detuned Carrera motor, lower revving, etc, etc, etc. versus the high revving Mezger? That motor stirs the soul unlike any other.

Not a chance. 2 different buyers and 2 different cars. I did quite a bit of reading on the GT4 and thought for a brief second what car I'd prefer. It's not even a contest.
