Just after DrJupeman and I met, he bought a 951, which he let me drive at autocrosses and on the track.

When we got married, we bought a 914 (with a 911 engine) as a wedding present to one another so we could have a dedicated track car.

We've had a few Porsches since then...And while DrJupeman has gone on to a glorious racing career, I hung up the driving shoes 16 years ago when we welcomed our children into the world.

We're hitting 20 years married this fall, and Charlie came across this 2007 beauty. He thought (correctly) I might like to have a Porsche of my own.





We drove it home yesterday, and today spent several hours in the garage together refreshing the oil, changing the spark plugs, swapping out filters....You know - just general "get to know me" kind of time with the car.

She's fantastic.

We have no plans to track this one, but I do think it'll get Katie back in the saddle a bit and more comfortable when she eventually is able to come back to the track in our GT3 Cup.
