Check your wheels or this might happen....

Those are fashion wheels, not track wheels... at least the guy had a good attitude about things.

Although I am currently trying to source a set of BBS E88s. And not because of this video. lol. Not that I have anything against CCW. I just always wanted BBS E88s and I decided to get what I wanted from the start.

Well at least they timed-out at relatively the same time...now that's efficiency!!
The word "engineering" is thrown around a lot in the wheel business, and I encourage consumers to challenge this with the purchases that they make. There is a difference, and you truly do get what you pay for.

I know, I was just making a bad joke because of all the BBS love. (Although it is true that I'm trying to obtain a set of new E88s, hopefully my usual wheel supplier can help me out but there's been some changes with his business and he might not be able to.)

A lot of people think lighter is best , and use it as a selling point of their wheels. But many don't realize there is a fine line between light and strong. Having spoken to BBS motorsports when we had the 5 lug monoblocks made, they could've made them even lighter, but that would've then started compromising strength. When it comes to wheels, don't compromise and don't try to cut corners, your life is riding on them.

I put a set of Forestar F10's on my E55...lasted less than 8 months of regular street driving before the barrels of every single wheel were cracked in multiple spots. No bends, no potholes I was pretty careful. I think they were just too light to take the load of the E55 even though their spec sheet (at the time) had a high enough load rating.
Never again and certainly never as a track wheel.
His message about checking regularly absolutely hits home. I found both rear CCW's cracked on my car pretty badly last year during regular inspection / tire rotation at the track....BUT that was after 7 years of use not 14 days.

Pro Tip: Don't buy **** wheels. Particularly if you plan to put your car on the track.
It is crazy how people fall for aesthetics and "claims" of engineering. There was a wheel mfg that was recently promoting track wheels here on RList and when I asked them "Do you have extensive track testing and data". Their answer was; No But we build them to... Blah, Blah
In my first Club race several years ago I hit wheel to wheel (My Rt Rear to the other drivers Lt Front) with another guy. His wheel Exploded. I finished the race. Obviously the testing shouldn't include that, but your wheels are one of the most critical pieces on a car. Don't go cheap....

Forgestar are flow form wheels not forged. Therefore they are not as trong as any real forged wheels in the business. On top of that they are manufactured overseas so not hte best quality wheels you get with HRE , Rays, BBS and so on.
I had a set of CF10 on my 09 C63 sedan with no issues at all for normal street driving. I guess I got lucky!
