Default Setting date

My date is incorrect on the PCM. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to set the date. I read the manual and it’s no help. I do have navigation. Can someone help?

I looked at mine (2008)

Push Main (bottom row of buttons)
Push Set (side row of buttons)
select PCM System by turning right hand dial (tuning) and pushing/ There's an option to set date and time.

Hope this works for you.

A bunch of folks on the Cayenne forum (and other car forums) have reported that there was some sort of software update that occurred in the past several months on the GPS satellites - - something like a Y2K fix. As I understand it, the date code in the satellites was reset/rolled back as the GPS satellites could not continue to count up. Read this: https://blog.fosketts.net/2019/04/06...e-almost-done/

Unfortunately, this story seems to apply to PCM 2.1 equipped Porsches, as the date on my 07 TT showed Feb 12, 2000 this morning. I was unable to find a way to change it - - appears set by GPS.

Let us know if you find a fix.

I'm in the same boat with my 06 C2S. PCM 2.1, Bose, Navigation. Time is correct but date does not show on main screen and it says 01/10/2000 in the settings screen. Time zone is correct and Nav works fine.

It appears to be a random occurrence as most people do not have an issue, or unaware maybe. Anyone with the issue have any add-on's like iPod interface or BT modules? Wondering if something is affecting the MOST fiber ring. I have the LAPower/Mr Volt BT module. I'm going to remove it and see if anything changes. Ive tried battery disconnect, pulled PCM fuses, the 1,4,8 reboot and factory reset to no avail.

My 2007 911 TT also has PCM and I cannot change the date. As an FYI, the satellite thing also affected Corvettes in the mid to later 2000's, but a patch was made available and it solved the problem.

Thank you!

It seems disconnecting power from the DVD nav unit so that the date can then be adjusted manually is the way to fix this.

The one fellow who posted the solution did not specify how to disconnect the power from the nav unit in the trunk, but it can’t be that hard to figure out.

I ordered a cheap (female) MOST Loop on ebay. Just got it. Took all of 5 minutes to remove cover, hook up loop, change date, remove loop and replace optical connection into Nav DVD and replace cover. Cool! Thanks to the Stephen for pointing to the other thread!
