Another point of interest is the buyer who asks for a PDK DME report. It happened to me during my recent BaT sale. I was so tempted to respond cynically but decided I would educate the buyer by pointing out the PDK is a an automatic transmission with built-in protections that prevent over revs even in manual mode. One of the few times I've been nice-

Although as I've said I hit it really hard when driving with the factory rep and it generated no over revs. Regarding PDK equipped cars, as you can see from the direct quote above from the PCNA technical specialist he has personally generated over revs in a PDK equipped car, which does raise questions about the accuracy of the data.
Yeah my point is it's easy to hit the rev limiter (I did probably 2x this weekend passing somebody in 2nd, it just goes so fast it's easy to forget to shift), and I'm pretty convinced the fact of hitting the rev limiter can put on range 4's and 5's, even though you're nowhere near the RPM level for those to register. I'm going to check my DME report today and see what it says. I won't be surprised if I have some higher ranges show up even though my only crime was bouncing off the rev limiter

What does it sound like or feel like when you hit the rev limiter? And what RPM is the rev limiter? Do you know it when you hit it? I don't think I ever hit mine.

^ You will know it when it happens. For a stock, untuned engine it's at 6750 RPM. It's like the engine shuts off for a moment. If you are not prepared it will def wake you up..

So, I pulled my numbers again. I don't know, looks like I didn't add in Range 4-6's even though I know I bounced off the limiter 2x (and I have a tune, so I think it's at 7k). I have no clue how the previous range 4-5's were added, as again, you know when you money shift, it's not something you forget.

I did add some new range 3's on my recent 1k mile road rally though, and that is 7700-7900 RPM. I did not get anywhere near that in the RPM range, so it still seems like the DME report isn't that accurate. Not sure why I care, maybe it's because I have a traditional unhealthy report.

Here is my latest one taken this afternoon. Basically the only driving I have done since this initial post is that road rally I just got back from. I added 43 new ignition range 3's, which again, seems unlikely
