Default 2013 997 Turbo s

im thinking of trading my 2011 gts for a 2013 997.2 turbo s.
so 1) which engine is in that model year and 2) did that year have the issue with coolant pipes.
thanks in advance!

No

2013 is the last year for 997 turbo and very rare.

They are rare. I just sold my 2011 TTS on BaT but kept a lot of the production information I acquired during my ownership. According to my information in 2013 there were;

United States and Canada: 222 total (US 196, Canada 26)*
Coupes: 125
Cabriolet: 87
918 Coupe: 3
918 Cabriolet: 7

So, IMO the 2013's are now slowly increasing in value which will change soon, and they will be worth a lot more in the future due to their low production numbers and last of the (great) 997.2's.

Agree with everyone else. 997.2 Turbo is reliable. 3.8 DFI (direct fuel injection. No coolant line issues. No spun camshaft issues. Only possible bigger issue is PDK failure, which isn't common, but expensive.

Try to get the manual. I heard the Mezger came only with the manual. The PDK equipped model came with the newer engine model.
