Does a red 997 turbo fetch more than most other colors?

I know colors can effect prices, but would y’all say a guards red 6pd car would bring a premium? I don’t see many out there. But I’m also new to this.

I would say any of the standard colors would not affect the general trading price, but its just a matter of finding a buyer who wants that color. There are probably just as many people who would NOT want a red car vs. those who would want it.
(I'm in the camp of liking red!)
PTS cars, OTOH, would typically command a premium.

Color choice is subjective and a matter of personal preference. Some owners prefer the more traditional colors of black, silver and white whereas others like myself prefer the skittle colors of red, yellow and blue. But, it really comes down to the condition of the car, mileage, maintenance, options and history. If the car I was looking for met those criteria and my requirements I would set color aside and purchase the car, not the color.

When I bought my previous 911, I REALLY did not want black. And yet, when you want a used 991.1 C2S Cab with a Stick, PSE, Sport Chrono, Full leather and not a black interior or luxor biege, well, SOMETHING has to give. LOL

Color is very subjective. I personally can't stand metallic paints and don't like black so I tend to value guards red, yellow and white. I don't know that states for 997 turbo but you definitely see less guards red than silver, grey and black so that usually helps the value.

i've been watching Bring a trailer for at least a year, waiting to find the color/mods etc that I'd like in a car. Overall, I'd say that rarity = price increase, and colors (red, yellow etc) are rare.
Of course this is a function of the buyers market, but it's pretty rare to see a yellow/red 997 turbo come up, and as such, those cars tend to go for higher numbers. I paid a premium for my car (white) because I didn't know when I'd see another white one come on the market. So my opinion, as an observer of the market and having done 0 analysis, is yes, color can increase the price

A year ago I was looking for a red coupe, would not take any other color and would not take a cab. I found that prices for red were higher for sure and I'm positive I paid more than if I had gone for a black/gray/silver car with same miles/options. I was seeing about $6-8k premium on average for guards red 997tt. I also had to widen my search and it took me longer. There were many 997tts local to me that I didn't even look at and instead had to pick up a car 1300 miles away to get a red coupe. That's only covering cars over the course of about 3 months in the fall of 2020 tho so its certainly not science.

Count me in as a GR guy. When I was shopping last summer I did not want a black or silver car and when I found a 2008 GR cab with sand beige interior in excellent shape I went weak in the knees and bought it.
