Oh wow! That picture got me hyped as hell for the car to arrive! I've always wondered how it looks in darker lighting. I can honestly say it looks better than I imagined or hoped it would. WOW! 10/10 shot man!

My dad had a 997 Targa before with Guards red accents. The car was white but it was pretty nice. Extra points to the very serious looking HRE's Your car does look tuned. Is it?

Yes I love this car, when I got it 530hp seemed fast but then I got bored. Now 680hp and it was fast for awhile but now seems ok. Ordering parts now that should take me to around 900hp. Hopefully that will keep me happy for awhile!
Yeah, that I knew! But it seems this specific color, even though literally everyone I've spoken to (except my best friend) loves the color. So why then is it a rare option on the 997 Turbo S? It's such a classy spec imo and as I said everyone who sees this color comments on it. So the whole thing is very strange to me

Porsche had issues producing Ice Blue Metallic back when these cars were new, so if you ordered it back in 2011, you had to wait a few extra months for your car to be built. As a result, a lot of buyers changed their color choices so they did not have to wait. This is why it is a rare color even though it looks great on these cars.
There are some old threads from when these cars were new (2011-2012) discussing the issue.
I don’t know that anyone ever determined what the exact issue was with producing the color.
