Default WTB: 997.2 Turbo/Turbo S

Maybe this will get a little more traction in this forum than the marketplace. Looking for private party only 997.2 Turbo or Turbo S. Open to either coupe or cab.

Preferred colors:
White
Blue
Darker greys
Yellow
Red
PTS colors

Preferred options:

Aerokit
The more carbon fiber options the better
The more extended leather stuff the better
Colored gauges
Adaptive sport seats
Tasteful mods such as exhaust/tune are ok
Any remaining CPO/extended warranty that's transferrable would be great

Porsche Exclusive/"unicorn" builds with very high MSRP relative to most other cars would be ideal, but I know not easy to find

PM me if you've got something interesting and thinking of selling. I've seen every listing online already.

Best of luck with the search. One thing to note is if the car has factory carbon, you’re most likely going to be replacing it due to cracking and delaminating. DBCarbon is a good option to replace or add carbon. Some have used MACarbon as well but they’re more expensive. I don’t know of any quality differences between the two.

Good to know. I've seen a few cars that had the full interior carbon package and it looked great, I didn't notice anything damaged but sometimes it's hard to tell in pictures too. Very rare to find a 997 with the carbon packages though.

Maybe not what you’re looking for. 2011 Turbo S black/black, yellow deviated stitching, heated/cooled 12 way comfort seats, Porsche crests in seats, leather console, leather steering column, leather interior light cover, XM, Bluetooth, 13k miles. No mods.

Suggest checking out Ryan Friedman's site....he has a way of finding unicorns but of course at an astronomical price. I have a 2012 turbo S with 63k miles, definitely not a unicorn 😁

What are you referring to? You only pay sales tax to the state where you register your new purchase, and you are not taxed in the state of the seller, no matter whether it's a private seller or a dealer.

In Nevada if you buy from a private party there is no sales tax. If you buy from any dealer the tax is 8.4%. Same thing in Arizona.

Interesting. I've been in the business for 20 years (in PA), and we sell to every state, but I was completely unaware of that little tax "wrinkle". Thanks for explaining it. Actually, very surprised that the State Auto Dealers advocacy groups haven't litigated that into oblivion.

It is kind of strange but it's been great for me, I've probably saved $40k buying private party instead of from dealers, not to mention the lack of fees and dealer BS often dealt with.

i'm shocked they don't make you pay taxes on the private party sale when you go to register the vehicle.

if i see anything pop up in the facebook groups i will let you know.

Sales taxes are not charged on private party vehicle sales, family sales or gifts.

I follow all of the major 911/exotic car trading groups on FB that I'm aware of and check the marketplace pretty often so I have a good idea of what's out there currently, more so hoping to find someone with an off-market car that's not listed but thinking about selling. I tend to find those are the best purchases.
