Default Fidelity Platinum Warranty expires in a month. What can I have done?

My 2008 Turbo Cab warranty ends next month. The radio is unresponsive intermittently and the warranty will pay for a replacement (just having a hard time finding a shop that will do it). I've had the TPMS replaced (it was actually broken) and other odds and ends repaired. Is there anything else that I can get covered? Unfortunately, the warranty won't cover any preventative fixes such as pinning coolant lines.

Are those things that I would notice while driving? Or is there a way for me to check? Since pre-pandemic and working from home, I might only drive 1000 miles/year. So it's tough for me to notice issues, unless it's obvious.

Do I ask the dealership to inspect them? I think Porsches tend to be noisy and rattly, anyway, but they'll diagnose it?

That's a pretty good idea. Ask the dealership to do it?

Sure, or a private shop - whoever could get you in sooner and you think would be most thorough. I would lean towards a dealer since it would be warranty work and they may have better/faster access to parts. They may be incentivized to find stuff if they know future work will come out of it.

Good thinking. I appreciate your response and I'm calling now. Thank you!

Isn’t the warranty for things that are actually broken?

Nope! If a a service center thinks a repair needs to be done prior to breakage, the warranty company will pay for the repair (with-in reason of course). I had my personal vehicle in for service, the water pump was showing signs of age, but had not failed, the warranty company paid for the instal of a new water pump and I was on my way!

Thank you for sharing your experience. What was the verbiage your dealership used when calling the warranty company?

I'm not sure exactly, but having been on both sides of the process with our customers and filing my self, as long as it is a realistic, "makes sense" repair... then the warranty company will just pay for the repair and move on. What you don't want to do is give a laundry list of repairs, even if they are suggested by the dealership, for different areas of the car at all once.

A warranty claim for 4 lower control arms, bushings, water pump, transmission/engine mounts, power electric seat motor, and a window regulator all at once will trigger an in-person inspection and a bit of headache for both parties.

Look for one exhaust tip lower than the other (left usually).

If you have a whole litany of things to address, why not just extend the warranty for a year, and then put together a studied, detailed comprehensive list of items and then methodically go through it addressing each item.
