Softronic Tune?
The 2010 997.2 Turbo that I am in the process of buying has a Softronic tune in conjunction with an IPD plenum, Pure turbos and Fabspeed intake. I really screams. Mechanic says the scream is from open intake filters from the turbos.
I know nothing about Softronic. The car runs great. Any experience in this group?

My recollection is that I received a OBDII to usb dongle from Softronic and i had to download the stock mapping and email the file back to Softronic. They sent back the tune in a new file, and I installed via a laptop. Not sure if the Cobb unit could accomplish the same task. If you're curious, I'd check out their website and email them your questions.

Some may find this interesting: This was a survey for the 997TT /GT2 posting of 2006-2012 on 6Speed . Some companies like COBB were not in it as they didn't even flash Porsche, others like APR stopped in 2008 so they had some there and M Engineering or Mitch worked for Vivid Racing in which I tuned for him yet we do not need to post that. You can take Softronic and Switzer and put them as the same as I did their tuning also.... in which could be mentioned. Contact Scott at Softonic and he will fill in any blanks or questions one may have

I'm very happy with my Stratified dyno tune - mo powwa - smoother delivery. Tuned on, and running Shell 93, the best local fuel.
Europipe and BMC filter only engine mods.
BTW Cobb ots tunes were very poor on my local fuel.

I have a UMW custom tune with my 997.1 TT I didn’t consider any others. Kevin’s enthusiasm and passion for these cars is second to none. He has personally chatted with me on the phone for hours he really is is a great guy.
I also have one of his GT2 clutch kits, feels identical to stock and has the holding power for the extra Hp. Once I upgraded to Cup 2 rubber my aging stock clutch started slipping, the power always finds the weakest link.

any currently on softronic tune come off of having used cobb standard ots tune?
i wouldn't doubt that the softronic produces more power than the cobb ots on the dyno, but is it significantly such that you feel a very noticable difference on the road - both at launch and at high speed cruising?
