Default Not too happy today with the car!

Stopped my a clients office for about 10 minutes, when I went to start the car...nothing. The car was totally dead, key stuck and all. i have been driving the car so I new it wasn't a dead battery but had no time to investigate the problem. I called Porsche road assist(excellent well mannered people) which had a tow truck there in 1 hour.
The dealer called me a few hours later and said it was a loose battery cable. I also noticed the past few days some rattle from the rear under carrage going over speed humps..anyone else experience suspension noise in their new 911? They will look into this tomorrow.

Don't let it get to you.. My daily driver got hit and run yesterday:

$1000 repair !!

My point is, don't get bugged by the little things.. All machines have little quirks.. You still got one of the most bad *** vehicles on the road..

Hang in there. Almost 10 years ago my brand new 993S had a rattle in the sunroof when open. Took multiple visits to the dealer to fix it under warranty.

I'm cool with it I love the car, actually since the car turned 500 miles everything is breaking in and becoming smoother. The car is even more enjoyable to drive, I can't wait to run it hard.....B-line, sorry to hear the news.

Did you say tow truck? I hope you meant flat bed.

Yes, flat bed tow truck, arranged through Porsche's authorized road service.

That blows, it's the punk at the dealer who prepped your car's fault, that's on their checklist!

Agree 1000%. Dammit!

I drove my just-delivered 997S all the way home (about 80 miles) and then discovered my CD player was broken. Nobody bothered to check it at dealer.

I'd keep an eye on your battery; if it were near-fully discharged it has been prematurely aged. Get a hydrometer ("turkey baster" with colored *****) and test it in a few days; must show a full charge being after parked overnight.

I agree, the car didn't go through a porsche standard PDI, when I picked it up and got the car home I noticed glue on parts of the car and wheels from the protective wrapper they never removed.
Uhmmm... let me think how I'll make them beg on this issue.

LOL. Yeah. I was muuuuch too kind in the customer satisfaction survey that followed.

Next time I'm gonna be brutally honest. It's inexcuseable that you'd have adhesive still on the car. Makes you wonder if they even checked the various fluid levels and went around checking/tightening bolts, etc. ... .

We all are because we feel that reflects on the way we will be treated at our dealer for future visits.

I'm happy with the R4 they loaned me and the bj from the sexy blond service mgr. but still I told them the car comes first...

Bottom line: Dealer had the car done in 24hrs. which included the residue glue removed, detailing the car and a full tank of gas.

My survey will not be stellar with this dealer regardless.

Good! Because of your honest survey improvements might probably be made. The next guy (a friend we haven't met) who buys a Porsche from them will have a better chance about feeling good about having just spent us$100K on a car!

That's the plan...I don't give a sh*t if the dealer wants to serve me caviar.
