Default Loss of TechArt 997TT and Lamborghini

Found this on another forum.
The cars were on a Budapest highway doing about 280-300km/h. The Porsche was behind the Lambo and the guy lost the control over the car and hit the sidewall and a lamppost and slam in to the Lambo. The Lambo burned out and a part of the Porsche too. The drivers had no major injuries and walked away from the crash...

And here are the pics:

You just cannot race on public roads. To paraphrase Woody Hayes "Three things can happen two of which are bad".

Holy crap! Take it to the track guys! Driving over their heads on a public road is plain stupid, glad they walked away and no innocent people were hurt.

Street racing gone bad. Glad to hear that they walked away from this high speed incident. Let's hope they take it to the track next time they think of racing.

Don't think there will be a next time for the lambo, that pass compartment was pretty mangled. Too bad.

stupid decision, if you race have the experience and seat time. The 997tt driver obviously didn't and the car is almost idiot proof if you don't get beyond the laws of physics.

Probably turned off his PSM because someone told him the car was faster without it.

that race was for many thousands of euros in cash. The money happened to be in the lambo and well, now its toast.

Lost two cars and a crapload of $

Guys like the drivers of these two cars will likely not learn their lesson, if they had that much smarts, they would not have been driving at the speed they were doing on public roads.
