The Tire Rack recommends 18 inch tires, but the car comes with 19 inch rims. Do I need new wheels, or can I use the 18's with the factory wheels?

18" tires will not fit on a 19"rim. Tire Rack recommends an 18" wheel and tire combination.

I got the Pirelli's from Tire Rack, and they are great. I think you will definitely want your snows mounted. TR also got me the wheels and rear spacers for my 996tt. The wheels were cheap, as they come from the factory that makes them for Porsche, but not from Porsche. I think the 4 wheels were $300 each, and a little less on the rubber. All in, I think it cost about $2400. AS

I have the pirellis, because Porsche seems to favorite them a little bit in their actual list of snow tires. I´m very happy with it.

The std c4s 997 rims, they are the exact size/offset for a tt, accomadate tpms/big red brakes, plus they are one of the lightest/stongest rims porsche has ever made. They should be able to be had for <1k$. I'll post a pic of them on my car later, but my car is filthy from winter driving.

We have has the stocker 18" Porsche rims on our 2004 C-TT for it's fifth season now - I think back in the day when we got it I purchased the stocker rims and Dunlop Winter Treks mounted for about 1800 from the dealer - we are on out 3rd or 4th set of tires now. We mounted the latest version of the Winter Sports about 4-5 weeks ago - they actually are 255's instead of the usual 235's we ran (I beleive I have those sizes correct) and they are run flats (the only one that were in stock at the time) - the tires were VERY heavy as noted by the techs during install - the drive quality and control in the snow is phenomenal - there ain't much you can not go through with that combo - again the Dumlops have treaed us well - I also run the Dunlop Winter Sports on my 2003 996 TT with GREAT success. We have over 290,000 miles combined on both vehicles through many winters and have had great luck. T2

I use 18" Winter Contis 235F/265R with 32mm spacer in the rear: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ght=part+trois
Got tires/wheels from Tire Rack,....as Chris said about 2 grand delivered.
They work great! - https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...90#post4878690
BTW, the fitment for TT and C4S is the same.
