I Just installed mine tonight,,

Luv it !!

But a bit freaked out by a prob that another member posted that his top went down on its own ??

It would be a real nightmare with the unpredictable weather we have here in
South Florida just to imagine if my top would decide to go down on it's own!!

Anybody else have this happen to them??

Also Did you guy's yous the optional Velcro strap on install ?? I did not??

I never had this problem with the one in my 996 TT cab. I just installed mine in my 997 TT cab last night. I used the velcro strap on both cars. It was too easy not to do so, just loosen one screw and slip the strap around the plug.

I actually went back in there and added the Velcro strip...

Never have had such an issue with mine. Of course, you need to keep in mine that fiddling with the remote when out of direct sight of the car could lead to something like that described...

Where can I find installation instructions for the Smart Top (for a Turbo Cabrio)?

I recieved mine from GMP but there were no instructions./ Are they found online? tia~
