afternoon with a GT3 vs my TT!!
I had the pleasure of getting together with 340elise this week end for a small side by side comparison of his 08 vs my tt. To keep things clean here lets say we were having a great time driving our own cars. Where it got fun was when we switched cars, wow the GT has a heavier clutch feel and sparse interior compared but a more communicated feel. At our altitude I expected minimal torque punch but was surprised and impressed with the performance. By the end of the day we both said we could live with either and were hard pressed to pick one over the other. After thought for me, I'm addicted to torque and the TT delivers loads of it as well as alittle more street manners.

I really need to drive them both. The GT3 vs. Turbo debate is my toughest choice in deciding my next Porsche. I am leaning GT3 to save a couple bucks (and I know I won't be as tempted to mod it). Pics would be great!!

yes, but if you are addicted to the twisties, wouldn't a elise/exige be a better choice? exige S was the most fun/communicative car I have ever driven. I'm sure GT3 is a lot faster though.

As an Elise owner, I would say it is a better "twisties" car, but really not a fun experience getting there. Because of it's tiny size, it is much easier to drive fast on narrow roads. But interstates are a fact of life, and there the Elise falls off the chart. AS

O sorry post got confusing for me...
I was about to pick up a GT3 before I got my turbo, Dont regret the turbo at all infact I think I made the right decision. The back seats are killer for when you have some extra company, the ownership of owning a turbo is pretty cool not to mention the roller coaster ride people always tell me when they ride in my car. That being said I havent driven the GT3 nor do I want too...hehe might like it too much.

This maybe the first time I disagree with Eclou...the TT is over 500 lbs heavier than the GT3 and you just can't hide those extra pounds. I have a TT(with GIAC ecu, PSS10's, MPSC's, and a GT3 like alignment) and an RS...on the track the RS is better!
The TT is a great car I have 8000 miles on mine but the RS is the best handling 911 based car I have ever driven.

The TT is all about the thrust...in the end I think a lot of people who don't track the car won't have as much of a need for the GT3 which probably isn't as fun for passengers as the terminal velocity generated from boost.
GT3 needs a twisty road, TT needs a long road.
I'd have both, but for now my 993TT with goodies is good enough to partner with the RS.
