thank you. I went for the rod antennae for the retro look... I actually like the way it looks. As they say to each his own.

FWIW, I like the rod antenna. Very seldom seen option here in the US.

I think I remember reading that the rod antennae only improves AM radio reception, which I never listen to. Does it do anything else?
