Default 2007 TT Cab won't start

I know a lot of you guys are pretty good at diagnosing problems, so I figure I would give this place a try.

I went to start the Turbo today. Probably hasn't been driven in at least 2 weeks. Put the key in and gave it a turn. All dash light go on, radio goes on, A/C goes on and then it made a rapid fire sounding series of clicks.

I turned off the radio and a/c and tried again. Same result. Except now the car was slowly lowering the driver side window all on it's own. Threw a bunch of error messages like PSM failure and ABS failure.

Is this just the case of a dead battery? If so, where are the connections to jump start the car? (I have never looked for them before).

I know some of this stuff might be answered in the manual, but the car is at the house and I am at the office.

Thanks.

Might want to check your manual, and try a jump start. Sounds like your battery gave up the ghost. Battery is in the front trunk, under the lid, near the firewall.

+1
Dead battery. Sounds like car is not driven often. In that case three years would be a good battery life in these cars if not maintained. 5+ years if maintained on charger.

+1 on the battery, something may have drawn down the battery like an interor liight. I had the same thing happen to me last winter so I bought a trickle charger for $70. Best bet is drive it more often..

I think you mean 08, nonetheless the above suggestions are all valid.

Yup, typo on the year. It is an '08.

I tried to jump start the car. No luck. Called roadside assistance and they came out with a portable battery charger and got the car started. Drove it down to the dealership and they are going to test the battery and replace it if it doesn't hold a charge.

Thanks for the quick replies. Will get a trickle charger so this doesn't happen again.

Default best trickle charger

I had the same problem with my 07 turbo....all I had to do was plug in the charger for 3 hours and the car started fine.
I use the CTEK brand Porsche branded Tequipment charger and recommend it highly.
Also, make sure to put your car in 'sleep mode' if you leave it for any length of time more than a week....use your key to lock the door manually, and this shuts down the amount of drain on the battery.
